Products to meet latest efficiency and no-load standards
Our solutions offer high active mode efficiencies and ultra-low no-load power consumptions to comply with:
- Energy Star version 2.0 – proposed for introduction 1 November 2008.
- Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 – standards on power supplies became US federal law on 1 July 2008 (includes California Energy Commission regulations).
- EU Commission revised EPS code of conduct - due for implementation 1 January 2009.

these new standards.
For more information on the techniques CamSemi uses to enable high
efficiencies and low no-load power consumption, such as zero-voltage
switching and low voltage CMOS process, see our efficiency bulletin.

CamSemi’s RDFC topology and C2470 family of mixed signal controllers deliver:
- Energy efficiency – controllers enable low cost designs that easily meet new active mode efficiencies and no-load power consumption standards.
- Cost effective solution - low system component count, simple circuits, fully optimised for high volume markets.
- Low EMI – for fast, easy compliance with FCC part 68 and related standards with minimal components.
- Naturally safe - high isolation & surge voltage withstand. No components sitting across high and low voltage sides of transformer and in-built safety features.
